The purpose of the Women's Wealth Building Advisory Group is to inform and support activities related to asset and wealth building for immigrant women.
When? 1st Friday each month at 6 pm in the Brian Coyle Center.
The Women’s Wealth Building Advisory Group will advise and support CRNRP plans to bridge access to tools and resources immigrant women require to help them overcome systemic barriers to wealth building. Among the strategies that have been identified by community members are building knowledge and social capital, accessing information about government and social service resources in the community, leadership training, and financial and computer literacy education. Committee volunteers can expect a variety of responsibilities including community engagement, organizing, surveying, planning, and assessing around the goal of increasing self-sufficiency of neighborhood women.
Women's Wealth Building Advisory Group Chair: Miski Abdulle, Program Manager of The Immigrant Women's Advocacy Project at the Brian Coyle Center.
