Community Engagement Plan – Currie Park Improvements

Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is planning a major renovation of Currie Park. $600K in improvements will begin in 2018 and $2.2 million will take place in 2019 and the total project budget is $7 million and will take more than 20 years to implement.

The project manager, Daniel Elias, invites community members to stay in touch with project progress by signing up for email updates through this link: Bit.ly/curriepark

Because currently available funding of $2.85 million is not sufficient to implement the entire master plan ($7 million), efforts will be taken to implement a first phase of improvements guided by the community, key stakeholders, and the MPRB project advisory committee.

Cedar Riverside Neighborhood Revitalization Program is waiting to find out about related community engagement activities so we can share news how West Bank community members can participate in the project process.
