Welcome to Cedar Riverside NRP's new website! There have been a lot of organizational changes that we are excited to inform you about.
2015 has been an important year for Cedar Riverside Neighborhood Revitalization Program bringing changes and new plans for the organization. Our Board of Directors searched for another staff member to assist in program development and bring nonprofit experience into the NRP. David Alderson was the right candidate our position and has been an active participant in the West Bank community for over 20 years. His nonprofit experience and volunteerism within the community makes him a valuable asset to CRNRP.
CRNRP was also fortunate enough to be selected to be a part of a 3 year Minnesota Council of Nonprofit’s AmeriCorps VISTA cohort. The NRP began a process to search for a Community Engagement Specialist to build stronger relations with members of the West Bank neighborhood and in August Ryan Justak was selected as the new VISTA for the first year of the program.
August was also an important month for CRNRP as they began a strategic planning process facilitated by Elena Gaarder. The Board of Directors, with the help of community input, developed a 3 year strategic planning process to help pave the path for a new direction of the CRNRP. With a new mission statement and community goals, Cedar Riverside NRP is excited to begin implementing the new plans and working with community members for a more equitable and connected community.
